FAQ
Where your data lives, which platforms are supported, why nothing happened when you pressed the key.
Does it need an internet connection
Local features do not. Otta needs one to call a model.
Which platforms are supported
Windows and macOS.
Where is my data
On your own machine by default. Cloud sync is optional — it needs an account, a paid plan and an explicit switch.
Even with sync on, conversation history, Otta's memory and mailbox passwords are never uploaded. See Account & Sync.
Do you train models on my material
No.
I cannot find screenshots, notes and similar features
Solazah only preinstalls the plugins it needs to run. Screenshots, notes, mail and file search all live in the plugin marketplace.
Type "Market" in the search box to open it.
Nothing happens when I press the shortcut
Usually something else has claimed it — input methods, screen recorders and other launchers are common.
Settings → Shortcuts to pick another. If two Solazah commands collided, the newer binding wins rather than both firing.
Otta says it cannot see my files
They are outside the workspace. Either move them in, or give a full path in the conversation.
See Workspace.
Can it drive my mouse and keyboard
Yes, but it is off by default and has to be enabled explicitly.
Most work does not need it — reading and writing files, running commands and driving the browser are all faster and steadier. It is only for software with no other interface. See Computer Control.
What do I have to redo on a new machine
With sync on, settings, model configuration and plugins come back by themselves.
What you redo: signing in to mailboxes (passwords are not synced), letting Otta's memory build up again, recreating scheduled tasks, and reconfiguring MCP servers.
Do scheduled tasks run while the machine is off
No — they run locally. On the next start it makes up one missed run rather than firing everything that piled up.
Where do generated Word and Excel files go
Under Documents in your workspace. They are real files any application can open.
How do I report a problem
See Feedback. The easiest way is to just tell Otta.
