Models & API Keys
Use the models Solazah hosts, or bring your own API key.
Settings → Models.
Hosted models
Available as soon as you sign in, with no key to fill. Usage is metered in Credits.
Your own API key
Fill one in and that model uses it. The provider bills you directly and it consumes no Credits.
Hosted models and your own keys coexist — filling a key for one model affects only that model.
Setting one up
- Settings → Models, pick a provider
- Fill in the API key (each provider links to its key page)
- Click "fetch model list" — no need to save first; this confirms the key works
- Select the models you want and save
Supported providers
- Solazah hosted — sign in and go, no key
- DeepSeek
- OpenAI
- Anthropic
- Google Gemini
- Alibaba Tongyi
- Zhipu AI
- MiniMax
Any OpenAI-compatible service also works — fill in the endpoint and key.
Custom endpoints
The endpoint can be overridden per model, which proxy services need. Set the API host on the model's edit page.
Switching models
Use the selector at the top of the conversation window. Cheaper models are fine for everyday chat; use a capable one for multi-step work.
Checking your allowance
The account page shows remaining Credits for hosted models.
Troubleshooting
It says the key is invalid
Verify at the "fetch model list" step — if the list loads, the key and endpoint are both correct.
A proxy service will not connect
Check the API host is the full address; most proxies need a /v1 suffix.
Credits ran out
Three options: buy a top-up pack, upgrade your plan, or fill in your own API key (available immediately, uses no allowance).
The model is slow
Try a different one. Speed varies widely between models from the same provider.
