Feedback

Something awkward, something broken, or an idea — two ways in, and we read all of it.

Two ways in

Just tell Otta. The least effort:

I want to report a problem: after taking a screenshot and pinning it, the pinned image ends up off-screen

It organises the report before submitting, so you do not have to compose it yourself.

Use the form. Type "Feedback" in the search box and fill it in.

Both go to the same place.

Writing feedback we can act on

The thing that matters is whether we can reproduce it. Reproducible reports are usually a few minutes' work; the others can sit for weeks.

What to includeExample
Steps"Open Notes → paste an image → press Ctrl+S"
What you expected"The image should be saved into Documents"
What happened"The image vanished and the body just shows an exclamation mark"
How oftenEvery time, or occasionally

Ticking "include diagnostics" attaches your version and system details — plenty of problems only occur on a particular version or platform, and it saves a round trip.

Suggestions

No need to be formal. Just be clear about the problem you are trying to solve.

"I rename dozens of files by date every week and have to do them one at a time" is more useful than "add bulk rename" — it tells us the actual pain, and there may be a better answer than the one you had in mind.

What not to put in

Passwords, verification codes, payment details, API keys.

Diagnostics do not contain any of those, but anything you type into the body yourself gets submitted with it.
