Privacy Policy

Solazah Desktop, Solazah account services & the Solazah Bridge browser extension

This policy is issued by Shanghai Viachronos Technology Co., Ltd. (“we”) and applies to Solazah Desktop, Solazah account & cloud sync services, and the companion Solazah Bridge browser extension.

Solazah is local-first: your core data stays on your own device by default. Data leaves your device only when: (1) you sign in and explicitly enable cloud sync; (2) you use AI features; (3) the app performs service requests such as update checks and plugin installs; (4) error reporting.

1. Data that stays on your device

  • Conversation data: your chats with the assistant, attachments and session records;
  • Assistant memory & notes: memory entries and workspace files (semantic search: see section 3);
  • Sign-in credentials: tokens are stored with OS-level encryption and never synced;
  • Mail credentials: mailbox passwords are stored with OS-level encryption and never synced; mail is exchanged directly between your machine and your mail provider — content and credentials never pass through our servers;
  • WeChat assistant (if connected): credentials and conversation records stay local;
  • OCR: performed locally; images are not uploaded for it;
  • Logs: local only, never uploaded automatically.

2. Account & cloud sync

Cloud sync is off by default and runs only after you sign in and explicitly enable it in settings.

  • Account data: sign-in happens on the web; the client only keeps your signed-in state. We process account identifiers such as your email for authentication, quota grants, order management and service operation;
  • Synced data: app settings, model configuration, mail account connection info (never passwords), plugin configuration, workspace metadata and workspace files are transmitted encrypted and stored on our servers in mainland China;
  • API keys: keys you enter for third-party model services are part of model configuration; with sync enabled they are stored encrypted and used only to call those services on your behalf. Keep sync off and they never leave your device;
  • Quota & orders: quota accounting and order records are associated with your account and stored on our servers.

3. AI processing

  • Conversation content: when you use AI features, your messages, attachments and necessary context (including browser data, clipboard or local file content you explicitly ask the assistant to work with) are sent to model services;
  • Managed models: requests are relayed through our model gateway to upstream providers (e.g. DeepSeek, Alibaba Cloud); the gateway performs authentication and usage metering;
  • Your own models: content goes directly from the client to the provider you selected, governed by that provider’s privacy terms;
  • Computer control: during tasks you explicitly start, screenshots are sent to the vision model you configured; none otherwise;
  • Semantic search: text fragments of memories/notes are sent to the embedding service you configured; the resulting index stays local;
  • All of the above is transmitted encrypted.

4. Error reporting & feedback

  • Error reports: on failures, the error message, app version, system environment and an anonymous device identifier are reported to our error-tracking service; an anonymous startup event is also recorded. We use no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs;
  • Feedback: feedback you actively submit, together with app version, system info, account email and device identifier, is recorded in our issue-tracking system for follow-up.

5. Updates & plugins

  • Update checks: the app requests version metadata and installers from our distribution servers; the request carries no device information;
  • Plugins & skills: browsing and installing calls our marketplace services; download counts are anonymous.

6. What we do not do

  1. No third-party analytics, advertising or profiling SDKs;
  2. No recording or uploading of your browsing history;
  3. No selling of personal information;
  4. No use of your data for purposes unrelated to the product.

7. Solazah Bridge browser extension

The extension exposes browser capabilities to the desktop assistant and reads tab information, bookmarks, current-session cookies and page content you specify, only when you explicitly issue a command. Everything is transmitted over a local connection to Solazah Desktop on the same machine; the extension connects to no remote server and retains no user data. Once data reaches the assistant, section 3 applies if you request AI processing.

8. Security & retention

  • Transport to our servers and model services is encrypted; synced data is stored encrypted;
  • Sensitive credentials are stored locally with OS-level encryption;
  • Local data is fully under your control: clearing app data or uninstalling deletes it;
  • Cloud data is retained while you use the service; you can request deletion of cloud data or account closure via the contact below.

9. Your rights

  1. Access & correction: view and edit your data directly in the app;
  2. Deletion: clear local data anytime; turn off sync and contact us to delete cloud data;
  3. Withdraw consent: disable AI features, switch providers, turn off sync or sign out at any time;
  4. Portability: workspace files are stored in common formats on your own disk.

10. Children

The product is not directed at children under 14. If we learn that a child’s personal information was collected without guardian consent, we will delete it promptly.

Updates are reflected in the “Last updated” date above; material changes will be announced inside the desktop assistant. For any questions:
